The quote by Douglas Wilson is debatable. Maybe it is Wright who understands better what it was to be a Pharisee under Second Temple Judaism. Also, can we not understand the story of Israel from the Johannine literature? Or Matthew, Mark or Luke or Acts?
Thanks for this comment. But I think the question Wilson raises is a good one: why can it NOT be Paul?
