  1. Not only the out-of-context reference to Psalms, but what about Isaiah describing Him as a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief?

I think the time for Jesus to laugh is coming (in both senses), but I think the reason there is no account of Him laughing while on earth might be because there was nothing to laugh about. He had His work cut out for Him, and, for us, our times of greatest joy are still ahead!

  2. Jesus is never said to have laughed in the Gospels (not that that proves he never did). I think their laughing Jesus is found in The Gospel of Judas.

Jesus: Ha ha! Wait, disciple dudes . . . I’m not laughing at you, I’m laughing with you. No, really . . .

  3. I have seen both the painting and the mis-applied reference. Although I like the painting (because I can’t imagine that Jesus did NOT laugh), it is sad that they have chosen to mis-apply Scripture.
